OUR BELIEFS

We believe

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. We believe in the full inspiration of the Word of God. (II Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter 1:20; Revelation 22:18-19)

We believe

There is only one God; the creator of the heavens and the earth and all mankind, manifested to mankind as father (creator), Son and Holy Ghost (indwelling spirit). (Rom. 8:11; Gen 1:1; Psalms 24:1)

We believe

Jesus is the son of God who became the full revelation of God expressed fully in human form, losing none of His divine characteristics. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh, he was born of a virgin and came to reconcile man back to God the Father. (John 1:14; Luke 19:10; John 3:16)

We believe

Sin is the transgression of the law or commandments of God, sin was transmitted to the human family from the sin of Adam until this present time, therefore mankind must be redeemed and reconciled back to God; the wages of sin results in death. (Rom 3:23; 1 Jn 3:4; Gen 2:8; Rom 5:19; 2 Cor 15:21; Rev. 20:14)

We believe

Salvation is the deliverance from sin and its consequences and is available to all. Jesus Christ was sent into the world to save sinners from the curse of sin (death) and eternal separation from God. (Matthew 1:21; St John 3:15; 1st John 3:8)

We believe

To repent means to change one’s mind. True repentance is a change of mind that will result in a change of action. When true repentance takes place, you are godly sorry and turn completely from the sin. Repentance is necessary to salvation and a prerequisite to baptism (2 Corinthians 7:10; Acts 2:38; Acts 3: 19)

We believe

The word Baptism comes from the word “baptizo” which means to immerse. Water baptism by immersion constitutes the public declaration of one's spiritual initiation into the body of Christ; that it symbolizes the believer's cleansing from sin through identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, which identification is accomplished by the spiritual baptism of the Holy Spirit We Baptize in the name of Jesus. Baptism is an important part of one’s salvation however, water baptism alone is not a means of salvation, but is an outward demonstration that one has already had a conversion experience and has accepted Christ as their personal Savior.  (Mark 16:16; Matt 28:18-20; Acts 2:38; John 3:5; Rom 6:1-6)

We believe

The Holy Ghost is a gift bestowed upon the believer for the purpose of equipping and empowering the believer, making him a more effective witness for service in the world. The evidence of having the Holy Spirit is the speaking of tongues as the spirt gives us utterance. The holy spirit teaches and guides us into all truth (John 16:13; Acts 1:8, 8:39; John 3:5; 3:16; 14:26; Acts 1:8; 2:38; Romans 8:9)

We believe

Spiritual gifts are given to all believers by the Holy Spirit. Spiritual gifts are empowerments for building up the church and extending the Kingdom of God.  (1 Cor 12:7-10; Rom 12:6-8; Eph 4:11)

We believe

The gospel is the good news which tells of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 27:45, 53-66; 28:1-10; 1st Corinthians 15:1-8)

We believe

The Lord's Supper, consisting of unleavened bread and drink from the fruit of the vine, symbolizes Christ's broken body and shed blood sacrificed on our behalf to deliver us from sin and death; that it looks forward to the day when we shall sup with Christ in His kingdom; and that it is open to all true believers in right standing with God. (Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:17-20; I Corinthians 11:23-34)

We believe

Sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of his holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:29; I Corinthians 1:2; Hebrews 10:14; Ephesians 1:3-4; 4:11-13; I Thessalonians 5:23-24; Philippians 1:6, 3:21; I John 3:2; Jude 24)

We believe

The word “tithe” means tenth or tenth part. Tithing is the practice of giving to the Lord at least 10 percent of your income. It is an act of worship, done to honor God and to remind us that He is the ultimate giver. Giving the tithe is an outward expression of inner commitment. It is a financial surrender prompted by spiritual surrender. Tithing supports the mission of the church e support of Christ’s body, the Church, as God commands (Malachi 3:10; Leviticus 27:30; Proverbs 3:9
